The best feature of Unit 303 was the view. The condo building is right on the water and the view from the balcony was fantastic. We saw whales in the distance and turtles just off the shore. There is no beach right in front of the building but there is walkable beach to either side of the building. The Unit was clean and comfortable and the beach chairs and umbrella came in handy. There was plenty of room in the parking lot and a grocery store and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again

It is quite and kind of tucked away from the other places the Views from our balcony was awesome. We had Mountains in the front and the ocean in the back. I would definitely stay there again.

January 2025 was our 4th stay at Maui Kai and we always love it. The last two times we got a second unit for our daughter and her boyfriend, but she was with us as a child the first two times. We’ve done the Luau, the road to Hana and around the rest of the way, beyond Hana, too (don’t tell Hertz), live music at the place next door, and in Lahaina, we are musicians and sat in with the band in both places, the Pacific Whale Foundation snorkel and whale watching, Mamas Fish House, and so much more, some days just laying in bed listening to the waves. It’s a great place to be, close to everything you need or want. Four visits and we still find new places to explore. Love the place, and the staff! Thanks for still being there through all the recent challenges.

We have stayed at Maui Kai 7 times since our grown children moved to Maui 4 years ago. The units are spacious and clean with full kitchens and magnificent ocean views.

We enjoyed our stay at Maui Kai- watching turtles right under us from our balcony on 7th floor was so cool! Also nice views over Lanai& Molokai Islands, and walking up to see rainbows was best. Apartment has everything we needed: kitchen, comfy bed, very clean – so cute. The cabana/ pool area has ping pong, full kitchen & nice hot tub – great after Maui hikes & adventures: we did Haleakala sunrise, La perouse bay, Kapalua trail, Waihee trail, Road to hana & Wailea path+daily walking to & from Black Rock, swimming with fish, turtles is so fun – don’t forget your goggles! There are so many food trucks & grocery shopping in walking distance – very convenient. The staff is friendly & in our stay for 9 days there was a weekly cleaning service – they provided fresh towels & soaps. Maui Kai – we will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay.
The highlight for us was the ocean. It was right out the window. We could sit on the balcony or keep the door open to look at and listen to the ocean all day and all night. There is no place to sit on the beach right in front of the building, so we rarely heard anything other than the ocean. We saw whales and turtles every day, and there was even a monk seal on shore for 3 days. So fun to watch all the “action” (they don’t move very fast).
The kitchen was loaded with all sorts of great gadgets for cooking and enjoying food in. Knives worked great, there was a coffee maker, blender, hand mixer… just to name a few! There were ice packs in the freezer to bring food wherever we landed for the day. I cannot think of a thing the kitchen was missing. The oven take a bit getting used to, so keep that in mind if you are baking.
The place was well stocked. Beach chairs with coolers attached. An umbrella.
Shower was beautiful and bed was comfortable.

If you want ocean front and sunset views at a great value this is the place for you. It’s not as luxurious as the hotel in the area, but the views and ease of access can’t be beat.
Pictures are very accurate, the view from the lanai is amazing. The sound of the ocean is very ever present. With the sliding glass open it is quite strong, and being so close you can even subtly hear the ocean waves with the doors closed, very peaceful while sleeping at night.
The unit had every amenity you could think of. The A/C especially worked very well and the parking was very close, easy and always available.
Location is just adjacent to to some hotels making walking easy and driving to other nearby clusters of hotels was quick as well.
Definitely would look to stay here for our next trip.

Very good location .Beach next to the property. Stores and food trucks about 10 min walking distance. Room and kitchen contained everything you need ,include beach chairs and scuba diving .Night time you can enjoy sound of ocean. View from balcony is perfect.

My wife and I were celebrating a belated honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. The condo was exactly as advertised. Plus, the unit included everything you would need. Pots, pans, dishes, etc. Plus, there were beach chairs, binoculars, even a boogie board to add to our oceanside experience. The views are amazing. We saw sea turtles and a variety of fish. The sound of the waves crashing at night and the morning are a sound we will never want to forget. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful place. Mahalo!!

The view is stunning. Listening to the waves crashing on the rocks below was an amazing way to fall asleep and wake up. The bed was comfortable – the pillows amazing. The bathroom is a little outdated and the ceiling tiles were flaking off and coming down onto the toilet. Other than than it was amazing. July 11, 2022

This place is a dream come true! The location is perfect to explore all that Lahaina has to offer. The free parking lot right outside is such a perk. As soon as you walk into the condo all you see is ocean! It’s so beautiful and almost even better is getting to listen to the waves every night. This spot is easily walkable to a cute food truck area, and to other resorts with amenities like shops and restaurants. The beach outside of the building and down towards Duke’s is full of rocks so we recommend checking out Slaughter House Beach. This spot is an easy 5-10 minute drive to awesome bars and restaurants. The place itself is clean, cute, and comfortable with the AC! The host was kind and responsive and made the check in/out process super easy. We would love to come back! Such a gorgeous place to spend our honeymoon 😍

By far our favorite thing about this property was the amazing view. Every morning, it was such a treat to enjoy a cup of coffee on the lanai and watch all the whale activity happening right in front of us. On our last day, we even saw some sea turtles swimming by! Great location to nearby shops and restaurants. Food truck alley and a local supermarket is within walking distance. I was a little skeptical about the comfort level of the Murphy bed prior to our visit, but it was SO comfortable and we slept soundly each night with the sounds of the ocean. Overall, We would stay here again and I’d definitely recommend!

Everything is really walkable
We loved staying in this space! My husband and I could walk to the local market for produce, as well as get really great food out if we wanted. Everything is really walkable and easy to access. The beaches were close and great snorkeling was on our doorstep! I would recommend this spot to everyone I meet!

Fabulous property if you know what you’re looking for. Beautiful 70+ unit building – 10 floors – some of which are part of a rental pool and others that are not. We stayed in Unit 808 from Feb 15 – Feb 20, 2020 and it was just as the pictures on the website advertised. Check in was a well handled, unit was well stocked with what you would want / need while away on vacation. Again, know what you want if you’re staying here – there is no direct beach access in front of the property – the building sits right on the water edge and you can overlook the water from the breakwall. There seems to be beach access via a set of stairs to the north but if you walk down you probably to so at some risk – we did not bother trying, but it did not look all that safe. There are other public beach accesses in the area, but that was’nt our concern so I can’t say too much on that. We stayed here as a nice, quiet, comfy base point while we went out and “did stuff” all over the island. The neighborhood is nice – there is a grocery store just down the street some if you want snacks or to cook for yourself. There was a neat lot with 6 – 7 food trucks serving dinner which we stopped at twice. The building / property offers other amentities, which would be great if you wanted a slightly different kind of vacation than what we were there for. I personally loved the seperate bedroom layout – not your typical hotel / bachelor suite – which allowed my wife and I to seperately read / watch TV without disturbing each other. Great value – would return if we go back to Hawaii.

The staff was very nice, especially Rowena at the front desk. The entire property is clean and in good condition. Smaller, private pool stayed uncrowded the whole time we were there. Room was simple but nice, clean, and quiet. The kitchen and supplies were a huge plus. The best part of the whole stay was eating dinner on the lanai at sundown. The view is incredible, unmatched by any other hotel I’ve stayed in. The water seemed to be no more than 20 feet from the building. If you’re not into the super sized resorts, this is a great place to stay.
