Hula Grill promises local ingredients including fresh fish, Maui-grown vegetables and natural meats “inspired by local fishermen, farmers and ohana.” Oh, and plenty of alcoholic beverages to pair with diners’ fish tacos and crab wontons. The grill’s extensive list of cocktails is topped by the iconic mai tai, of course. But the barefoot bar also offers its own “high-end version” of the classic tiki drink, known as the akamai tai. It’s a dizzying blend of toasted coconut rum, amaretto and fresh pineapple and lime juices, shaken with a dark rum float. Delicious. Open from 11am to 8:45pm daily.
